Drury Tankersley Clam Chowder Dinner

It's Clam Chowder Time!

Over 1500 people annually enjoy the Clam Chowder Dinner, held early in the year at the Orradre building at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds. Featuring the famous Lloyd Atwater clam chowder recipe, diners get all-you-can-eat clam chowder, rolls, fresh salad and homemade dessert. A wine and soda bar is available. Dinner guests get to place bids at the silent auction featuring a variety of antiques, photo replicas from the museum’s collection and home baked pies and cakes. The Clam Chowder Dinner has become a community favorite.

 

Fall Ghost Lecture Series

Campfire Gost Stories 

Bring a picnic, blanket and gather around a blazing bon-fire under the stars in San  Lorenzo Park's Haunted Forrest while getting scared by stories  of local hauntinsg and ghosts. Listen to local storytellers and  come prepared to tell stories of your own! Featured storytellers -  Robert Walton. No host beer and Wine bar.

Spring Fundraiser, Dinner & Auction

Join MCARLM each spring for our annual Spring fundraising event. Always a good time, past events have included the 2013 30's Theme gala, the 2014 '40s USO Prime Rib dinner, live auctions, live music and fully loaded bar! Proceeds benefit the ongoing mission of MCARLM to provide quality educational programming to our visitors and to maintain and grow our exhibits. The Ag Tour

The Ag Tour

The Ag Tour which is held annually visits a variety of agricultural enterprises around the valley. The tour provides an up-close look at modern agribusiness in action. After a continental breakfast at San Lorenzo Park , participants board luxury buses and visit sites around the Salinas Valley. Places visited in past years include a winery (with wine tasting), carrot harvesting operation, seedling nursery, duck farm, packing shed, cattle ranch with working stock dog demonstration, a fertilizer operation and much more. Tours include all meals plus refreshments on the buses.
